Yellow fan

This nice yellow fan is hand painted is a fine piece of art, I shoot it in Kitakata, on natural light on a laquered black table. In Japan fans are traditional art and common accessories for women and men, and if you go there in Summer you will understand why.

Simoplicity and peacefulness

The really magic athmosphere of a tatami room with its peculiar nice smell, an elegant and simple gesture, a nice cup with great green tea and a silent room ... Chanoyu is a great expehrience impossible to explain or describe with words.

Raku provencale

This two nice cups where made by a South of France artist I meet in Milano, Jean Philippe Razzanti, I bought them for my mother in love, she is a master of Tea Ceremony in Japan. The colour is really great and is very difficult to find somthing similar in Japan where the tradition is very strong and few artists have the courage to move apart from tradition or just have a different sensibility and culture. Bravo Jean Philippe. The cup for Chanoyu, the Tea Ceremony is called Chawan, the photo was made with natural light on a laquered woodden table.

My fine art photos on Japanese magazines

In 2008 I published some photos on this nice Japanese magazine second special issue, CAPA nude. At first the editor of the magazine saw my color serie I shoot in London in 1994 titled "London Nudes" with very strong and saturated colors, but at the end they decided to go for b&w and selected some older photos I shoot in Milan at the beginning of '90's. This cover photo is not mine.
