Shoji

The shoji is the wooden frame covered with rice paper used in the traditional Japanese houses for covering the windows or as doors to split spaces into smaller rooms and this are called fusuma. I love the soft and warm light generated by the shoji, actually, I started appreciating and loving the soft light, during my first visit to Japan, I can say I finally undestood soft light after seing and living in this kinde of rooms. To wake up in the morning and seing the sunrise filtered by the shoji, is really a fascinating experience, also because I wake up always at surise there, this are the shoji in my room at 6 am. in Summer.
